She was born and raised in Delmar, a daughter of the late William R. Ruth Ann graduated from Delmar High School with the class of 1955. She graduated from Woodbridge High School in 1975 and attended Wesley College in Dover. Over the years Becky worked in the restaurant industry; as a florist; in insurance sales; and eventually found her calling caring for dogs. He later worked at First American Bank in Tennessee. In his early years, he worked at Bunting Auto Supply and the Diamond Theater, both in Selbyville.
